Safiqur Rahman, Nagaon: Amid an atmosphere of elegance and cultural charm, emerging young singer Krishthi Kanan Kalita marked a significant milestone in her musical journey with the grand unveiling of her album “Lajuki Lata” today. The event, held at the residence of noted personality Pabitra Kalita in Teliagaon on the outskirts of Nagaon, drew an impressive gathering of artists, intellectuals, and well-wishers (Lajuki Lata Song Release).
The album was ceremoniously released by acclaimed Assamese singer Krishnamoni Nath, who lauded the young talent and offered his heartfelt blessings, expressing confidence in her bright and promising future in the music industry.
Adding depth to the occasion, retired professor Mohini Mohan Deka spoke eloquently about the emotional richness of music, describing it as a powerful medium that resonates deeply with human sensitivity and expression.
The event witnessed of the several distinguished personalities, including Nagaon Press Club president Jiten Barkotoki, senior journalists Kanak Hazarika and Munindra Saikia, social worker Jayanta Kumar Bora, along with a host of eminent citizens such as Yadav Tamuli, Gagan Choudhury, Dibyajyoti Saikia, Dilip Laskar, Durlav Paban Barua, Manoj Bordoloi, Montu Bora, Jyotiprasad Bora, Shonit Kumar Bora, Suraj Kumar Bora, Nil Saikia, and Kusum Kalita, among others.

Born into a culturally rich family, Krishthi Kanan Kalita—daughter of actor Pabitra Kalita and noted recitation artist Laxmiprabha Saikia—has been passionately nurturing her artistic talents from a young age. Beyond music, she is also actively involved in acting and painting, reflecting her diverse creative abilities.
The song “Lajuki Lata” is a collaborative artistic effort, with lyrics and composition by Debashish Saikia, music arrangement by Gouranga Saikia, recording by Dipankar Das, melody by Nayan Saikia, and video direction by Shashank Hazarika.
