Nagaon: The sub-divisional administration of Kaliabor has imposed restrictions on public movement in certain areas as a precautionary measure following the entry of two Royal Bengal Tigers ( Bengal Tigers) from the Kamakhya Reserved Forest into a nearby village on June 10, posing a potential threat to human life (Royal Bengal Tigers in Kaliabor).
Accordingly, public entry has been prohibited from 2:00 PM until 9:00 AM the following day in the areas extending from Kamakhya Temple to Kamakhya Village/Sonari Village and the adjoining tea garden areas, including Garden No. 2 of Kaliabor Tea Estate, Naga Pathar, as well as along the new PWD road from Trishuldhari Temple Road to Silghat Morapat Mill.
However, government officials and employees on duty have been exempted from the restrictions.
Kaliabor Sub-Divisional Commissioner Raj Barua has imposed the restrictions under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). According to District Information and Public Relations Officer Bikash Sharma, the restrictions will remain in force until further orders.
