Guwahati: BJP candidate from the Dispur Assembly constituency and former MP Pradyut Bordoloi is almost certain to be inducted as a minister if he wins the election. According to a reliable source, Bordoloi—who has maintained a close relationship with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman since their university days—has reportedly been assured by the BJP’s top leadership that he will be entrusted with an important portfolio if elected (Pradyut Bordoloi Dispur Vision).
Meanwhile, the former MP has been actively campaigning across the Dispur constituency using his own strategic approach. Known for his courteous demeanor, Bordoloi has been successful in attracting voters.
For the development of the constituency, he has prepared a vision document titled “Dispur: My Visionary Journey.” The plan includes establishing an AI-based modern education center in the constituency, arranging contractual employment for educated youths through voluntary organizations to support economically weaker students, and introducing vocational education aligned with modern technological needs.
In addition, his proposals include doorstep delivery of services such as driving licences, birth and death certificates, and caste certificates; a monthly financial assistance of ₹1,000 for medical treatment for economically weaker families; introduction of a family doctor system; making Dispur plastic- and pollution-free; flood-control measures; development of rural markets; and construction of multi-level parking facilities.
Bordoloi stated that Dispur is not just a constituency but a living embodiment of the collective aspirations of the people of Assam. Dispur is undoubtedly the epicenter of Assam’s administration and power. It has become the only truly fertile ground — a veritable ‘Kalpabriksha’ (wish-fulfilling tree) — where the future-oriented dreams of Generation Z can flourish and bear fruit.
He also urged all candidates to remain humble, telling the media, “The final decision rests with the people. Therefore, everyone should remain humble.”
It is noteworthy that Tejasvi Surya, National President of the BJP Yuva Morcha, will arrive tomorrow to campaign in support of candidate Pradyut Bordoloi in the Dispur constituency.
