Nagaon: House-to-house polling continued for the second day for the Assembly election in Nagaon district today. The process was also observed by the General Observer in Barhampur Assembly constituency today (Home Voting Nagaon).

General Observer for the constituency, Shiv Prasad I, (IAS), who has been appointed for the constituency by the Election Commission, has visited the house of 87-year-old Renuwala Mandal, a voter of polling station No. 171 under Kathiatoli Gaon Panchayat. He also gave some necessary advice to the voting team in this regard. He also visited several polling stations and took stock of the latest conditions.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has launched a campaign to collect votes of persons with disabilities and over the age of 85 from their homes in Nagaon district through ballot papers. This process has been carried out by Postal Ballot Cell of Nagaon district since yesterday and will collect about four thousand votes from home by tomorrow.
