Nagaon : Buldozers which used to send shiver down one’s spine till few days back have now been turned to spread love and respect (Jan Ashirwad Yatra). Used to raze illegal construction on encroached lands across the state till few days back, the Buldozers are certainly have a role reversal in Assam.

On Sunday, Fans showered flower to Assam Chief chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma from a Buldozer while the Chief Minister a nd his entourage were busy waving at people during the Jan Ashirwad Yatra through the Nagaon town.

On Sunday the Jan Ashirwad Yatra, started by the Assam unit of the BJP on Saturday, reached Nagaon and thousands of people showered with flowers on the Yatra which was participated by Assam Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues.

Thousands of people waited on both sides of the road tonwelcome the Jan Ashirwad Yatra started by the BJP. Even at 1 pm midnight, thousands of people were seen gathering in the both sides of the road to welcome their favourite leader.

“The Yatra is not about sharing what our governments have done in the last five years. But we want to seek blessings of the people. It will help the leaders of our party to listen to the people about their aspirations, which will help policy decisions when our government comes to power again,” Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said earlier.
Sarma had earlier said the BJP government’s initiatives in areas such as infrastructure development, education, healthcare, employment generation and social welfare have laid a strong foundation for Assam’s growth.

IT may be mentioned here that assembly elections are due in Assam in March-April. The Election Commission of India has recently visited the state holding discussions with different stakeholders and are likely to announce the dates for elections in Assam soon.
The ruling BJP in Assam will seek mandate for a third consecutive term. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had recently stated that the party will contest in 103 of the total 126 assembly segments in the state.

He also said that the party will storm back to power with a comfortable majority this time.
