Guwahati: The final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025, one of the most competitive examinations in India, have been announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) (UPSC CSE 2025 Result).
958 Candidates Recommended
According to the UPSC result, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various central services.
Among the successful candidates, 317 belong to the General Category. In addition, 104 candidates belong to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 306 candidates belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBC), and 73 candidates belong to the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category.
Top 20 Rank Holders
In the Civil Services Examination, Anuj Agnihotri secured All India Rank 1.
The other candidates in the Top 20 ranks are Rajeshwari Subhe M, Akanksha Dhull, Raghav Jhunjhunwala, Ishan Bhatnagar, Jinnia Arora, A R Rajah Mohideen, Pakshal Sekhri, Astha Jain, Ujjwal Priyank, Yashasvi Raj Vardhan, Akshit Bhardwaj, Ananya Sharma, Surabhi Yadav, Simrandeep Kaur, Monica Srivastava, Chitwan Jain, Shruti R, Nisar Dishant Amritlal and Ravi Raj.
Candidates from Assam
Three candidates from Assam have successfully cleared the UPSC examination.
Abhigyan Khound secured All India Rank 187.
Abhigyan Jyoti Bora secured Rank 570.
Bhaswat Saikia from Nagaon secured Rank 777.
Meanwhile, Kelvin Ginminlien Zou from Manipur secured Rank 134. Though originally from Manipur, he is currently residing in Meghalaya.
Bhaswat Saikia Clears UPSC for the Fourth Time
Bhaswat Saikia of Nagaon secured Rank 777, marking his fourth success in the UPSC examination.
He is the son of Birendra Nath Saikia and Dibyajyoti Bora of Difalu in Nagaon town. Through consistent performance, Bhaswat has carved a unique identity for himself.
In his first attempt, he secured Rank 68 in the Indian Forest Service (IFS).
In his second attempt, he secured Rank 552 and joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in the Assam cadre.
In his third attempt, he secured Rank 474 in the Civil Services Examination.
In his fourth attempt, he secured Rank 777.
How the Examination is Conducted
Every year, lakhs of candidates across the country appear for this highly competitive examination. Candidates who succeed in the final stage will soon take up important responsibilities in the country’s administrative and governance system.
The UPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted in three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination and Personality Test (Interview). Only candidates who successfully clear all three stages secure a place in the final merit list.
