Nagaon: Due to the conflict in the Middle East, various people have expressed concern about a possible shortage of gas cylinders in Nagaon, as well as in other parts of the state. In view of the situation, the Nagaon District Administration has taken prompt action for close monitoring of the supply system of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders. Keeping the prevailing situation in mind, in order to ensure an uninterrupted supply of LPG to priority sectors, the Nagaon District Administration has published a toll-free number through which any complaint related to the matter can be lodged over phone (LPG Gas Shortage Helpline Assam).
The District Information and Public Relations Officer has informed that the people of Nagaon district can file any specific complaint regarding LPG supply on this phone number 1077. Acting on the instructions of Nagaon District Commissioner Debashish Sharma, the district administration has already launched a drive against illegal use and hoarding of cooking gas.
It is worth mentioning that the Nagaon District Administration is keeping a sharp eye on the use of domestic LPG in commercial establishments and the stockpiling of extra gas cylinders. In this regard, Nagaon District Commissioner Debashish Sharma had already issued an appeal to all concerned parties.
