Nagaon: As in previous years, this year too members of the Islamic community have begun preparations for the holy Hajj pilgrimage. Along with other parts of the state, 161 people from Nagaon district are preparing to undertake the sacred Hajj. With the objective of providing training and extending felicitations to the Hajj pilgrims from Nagaon, a programme titled Hajj Training Camp Nagaon 2026 was organized(Hajj Training Camp Nagaon 2026).
The event was held on Sunday at the premises of Darul Uloom Madrasa in Panigaon, Kasalukhuwa, Nagaon district. During the programme, the pilgrims were given training and were also felicitated. The session was presided over by Alhaj Sahid Ullah. The Hajj pilgrimage is scheduled to begin on February 19, and the training programme organized at Darul Uloom Madrasa featured Haji Aminul Islam along with several other distinguished trainers as resource persons.
Attending the programme as special guests were Nurul Huda, MLA of Rupahihat constituency and an active member of the Nagaon District Hajj Committee, and noted social worker Abdul Hannan Laskar.
The pilgrims from Nagaon who will be traveling to Makkah and Madinah for the 2026 Hajj were presented with traditional “phulam gamosa” and felicitation letters, along with best wishes. They were also briefed on various guidelines, rules, precautions, and instructions to be followed during the pilgrimage.
Out of the 161 Hajj pilgrims from Nagaon district, around 40 are women. The training programme was attended by Madrasa Committee President Alhaj Sahid Ullah, Secretary Alhaj Nurul Amin, Principal Giasuddin Wahid Mazahiri, and other office bearers of the Madrasa Committee.
