Major Assam Administrative Reshuffle Before Elections; Several IAS & ACS Officers Transferred"The state government has made big changes in Administrative post"

Guwahati: Ahead of the elections, a major administrative reshuffle has taken place in the state administration. On Thursday, the state government carried out a significant administrative reshuffle, assigning new responsibilities to several IAS and ACS officers. According to the decision, new appointments have been made through transfers in the posts of District Commissioners, Secretaries, and other key departments across various districts (Assam Administrative Reshuffle).

As per the order, IAS officer Partha Pratim Majumdar has been appointed as the District Commissioner of Bajali district. Earlier, he was serving as Commissioner and Secretary of the Home and Political Department and the Women and Child Development Department. He was also serving as the State Coordinator of NRC and the Chief Executive Officer of the e-FT Project.

IAS officer Narendra Kumar Shah has been appointed as Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. He will also hold the additional charge of Managing Director of the Assam Industrial Development Corporation (AIIDC).

Meanwhile, IAS officer Aditya Vikram Yadav has been transferred and posted as the District Commissioner of Lakhimpur district.

IAS officer Preeti Kumari has been appointed as the District Commissioner of West Karbi Anglong district.

Ayushi Jain has been transferred and posted as the District Commissioner of Darrang district.

ACS officer Pubali Gohain, who was serving as the District Commissioner of Darrang, has been transferred and appointed as the District Commissioner of Golaghat district.

Sarang Pani Sharma, District Commissioner of West Karbi Anglong, has been appointed as Secretary of the Transport Department. He will also hold the additional responsibility of State Project Director of the Assam Inland Water Transport Development Society.

Gautam Das, District Commissioner of Baksa, has been appointed as Secretary of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department.

Jatin Bora, District Commissioner of Chirang, has been appointed as Secretary of the General Administration Department and the Innovation, Incubation and Startup Department.

Pranabjit Kakaty, District Commissioner of Lakhimpur, has been transferred as Additional Secretary of the Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department. He will also hold the additional charge of Director of Employment and Craftsmen Training.

Parag Kumar Kakaty, District Commissioner of Golaghat, has been transferred as Additional Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department. He has also been given the additional responsibility of Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority.

Mridul Kumar Das, District Commissioner of Bajali, has been appointed as Additional Secretary of the Home and Political Department and the Women and Child Development Department. He has also been given the responsibility of State Coordinator of NRC and Chief Executive Officer of the e-FT Project.

After being withdrawn from service in BTC, Dhiraj Saud has been appointed as the District Commissioner of Baksa, while Gokul Chandra Brahma has been appointed as the District Commissioner of Chirang district.

Through this major administrative reshuffle, the state government wants to improve the work of the administrative by giving new responsibilities in different departments and district.
