Nagaon University Hosts Artificial Intelligence Conference on Education and HealthcareConference on Artificial Intelligence at Nagaon University

Safiqur Rahman: A conference titled “Artificial Intelligence” was held at Nagaon University on February 26 (Artificial Intelligence Conference). The event was moderated by Dr. Parikshit Gogoi, Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, and the welcome address was delivered by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Hitesh Deka.

The conference was attended by Dilip Bharati, an alumnus of Nagaon University and Director of the Rajmohan Nath Memorial Trust. He spoke about how artificial intelligence can transform education and healthcare in today’s era of science and technology.

The day-long conference, held from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, was conducted in multiple sessions. The keynote address was delivered online by Dr. Ganesh Bora, Associate Vice-Chancellor and Chief Research Officer at the University of North Carolina. He explained the applications and use of artificial intelligence in the education sector.

In the same session, Dr. Bhaswati Kashyap, a researcher from the University of Delaware, highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence in the field of medical science.

In the third session, Dilip Bharati presented a comprehensive summary of the discussions. In the fourth session, resource person Devangan Barthakur shared his views on how artificial intelligence can help maintain mental health. He also stated that artificial intelligence would bring a revolutionary change to the healthcare sector.

In the subsequent sessions, participants included Anjan Pathak, Co-founder and CTO of Vintage (Guwahati); Mondip Chakraborty, Coordinator of Assam Agentics Foundation; Arindam Goswami, Founder of the Guwahati-based digital agency “Influence”; Ankur Goswami, an alumnus of Nagaon University; Achviza Vijayendra, Organizer at Google Development; Archana Bharati, Founder of Ecom Science Consulting Private Limited (Bangalore); and Tushar Ranjan Saikia, a student of Assam Engineering College and member of its Coding Club.

More than two hundred students from various departments of Nagaon University participated online in this one-day conference and interacted with the resource persons.
