Morigaon: The 33rd Raising Day of the 16th Assam Police Battalion was celebrated with due solemnity and pride today at the Battalion Headquarters in Bormonipur, Morigaon (16th Assam Police Battalion Raising Day). The commemorative programme was organised by the Commandant and all ranks of the 16th Assam Police Battalion to mark 33 years of dedicated service to the State. The occasion highlighted the Battalion’s significant contribution to maintaining law and order and ensuring internal security over the years.
Shri Rama Kanta Dewri, MLA, Morigaon LAC; Smt Anamika Tewari, ACS, District Commissioner, Morigaon; Shri Vivek Raj Singh, IPS, Inspector General of Police (T&AP); Shri Swapnanil Deka, SSP, Nagaon; Shri Prakash Sonowal, SSP, Morigaon; and Shri Zakir Hussain, Commandant, 16th APBN, were present at the programme.

During the event, tribute was paid to the commitment, discipline, and sacrifices of the officers and personnel of the Battalion. The leadership lauded the role of the 16th Assam Police Battalion in strengthening internal security and upholding peace in the region. The programme concluded with a renewed sense of pride and resolve among the personnel to continue serving the people with dedication and professionalism.
