Zubeen Garg 24th Wedding Anniversary Marked by Garima Saikia Garg’s Emotional Appeal for JusticeA Nostalgic 24 Years: First Wedding Anniversary Without Zubeen and Garima’s Heart-Breaking Appeal

Guwahat: Today is 4 February. The bright star of the Assamese music sky, whose voice once touched thousands of hearts and whose songs and albums continue to mesmerise listeners—Zubeen Garg—and his wife Garima Saikia Garg would have marked their 24th wedding anniversary today (Zubeen Garg 24th Wedding Anniversary). But in the cruel irony of time, there is no celebration today—only a handful of memories and a past shrouded in mist. This is their first wedding anniversary without Zubeen, a day that has carved a deep wound in some corner of Garima Garg’s heart.

A Heart-Touching Love Story: From Anamika to Mumbai

The relationship between Zubeen and Garima was no ordinary story. It was an epic journey that began with silent admiration.

The charm of letters: At that time, Garima Saikia was in Mumbai. In her lonely moments, she liked writing fan letters to celebrities. Mesmerised by the tune of Anamika , she also sent a letter to Zubeen.

The first response: That letter became a life-changing moment. Zubeen not only replied but also promised to go to Mumbai to meet Garima.

Many timeless songs stand witness to their love. One day, while sitting in a restaurant, seeing Garima’s sulking eyes, Zubeen wrote—“Tumi Chowa Jetia Duchoku Tuli.” Even the pain of a temporary separation before their marriage led to the creation of powerful songs like “Jwali Utha” from the album Rong.

Emotional Garima and the Fight for Justice

On 19 September 2025, leaving behind a vast void in the heart of Assam, the ‘Son of God’ Zubeen Garg departed forever. Every moment of the nearly five months without him has been unbearable for Garima. On this special day today, in an interview with Media, she wiped away tears and expressed her pain.

“For me, this is actually a very unfortunate day. Otherwise, today would have been different. Today we would have completed 24 years. There is no choice—God has decided this for us. Wherever he is, may he stay in peace and always remain with me—that is what I wish. I want us to remain united for lifetimes after lifetimes. So I have wished him a happy anniversary as well. What can I say now? I am engaged in this fight for justice. May God bless it. Let the people help us, let all the people of Assam stand with us, and may the guilty be punished. Beyond that, what else can I think of now? Even if Zubeen is not with me physically, I want him to stay with me spiritually. Because what has happened… I pray continuously to God so that we can win this legal battle. Wherever he is, may he be well and at peace.”

Today, Garima shared old photographs and a video filled with wedding memories on social media, addressing Zubeen as “Goldie” and writing—

“Happy 24th Anniversary Goldie!! For every birth… for every rebirth… always keep me wrapped in your love and blessings… my Son of God.”

At present, Garima Garg’s sole objective is to obtain proper justice in the investigation related to Zubeen Garg’s death. Seeking the cooperation of all Assamese people, she firmly states that even if Zubeen is not by her side physically, his blessings remain a shadow over everything she does.
