After rain interruptions reduced the match to 37 overs per side, India won the toss and elected to field. New Zealand’s innings was disrupted multiple times, and they were 135 for 7 in 36.2 overs when play was abandoned. Fast bowler RS Ambrish led India’s bowling effort with four wickets.
