News Desk: Since yesterday, an atmosphere of enthusiasm has prevailed among the officers, employees, and residents of Morigaon district. The reason is that Morigaon District Commissioner Anamika Tewari has been included in the list of the country’s “Outstanding and Best Performing” administrative leaders prepared by Fame India. Popular among the people of Morigaon for her welfare-oriented initiatives, Anamika Tewari’s achievement has delighted not only her colleagues but also the general public. It is noteworthy that, along with Anamika Tewari, three other District Commissioners from Assam have also been included in the list (Assam District Commissioners).

In a nationwide survey conducted by the reputed magazine Fame India, 100 District Magistrates/District Commissioners (DMs) have been listed as “Outstanding and Best Performing” administrative leaders.

The list includes four District Commissioners from Assam. They are Anamika Tewari of Morigaon district, Vikram Kairi of Dibrugarh district, Sumit Chhattawan of Tinsukia district, and Swapnil Paul of Kamrup (Metro) district.

Notably, among these 100 selected officers, 25 exceptionally distinguished District Magistrates will be given special recognition in the magazine’s forthcoming 2026 edition.

The extensive survey, covering nearly 800 districts across the country, aims to encourage officers who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in public service despite challenging circumstances.

Through its special edition titled “Best District Magistrates 2026,” Fame India seeks to recognize and highlight the work and achievements of such District Magistrates.

First launched in 2011, the survey has now become an annual tradition of Fame India. Over the years, this ranking, based on performance and public service, has not only honored the selected officers but has also established a high ethical benchmark for their peers across the administrative services.

The latest survey by Fame India was conducted in collaboration with Asia Post. The assessment was based on ten key parameters: exceptional administrative competence, effective governance, vision and innovation, accountability in work practices, quick decision-making ability, crisis management skills, sensitivity and sense of responsibility, interpersonal skills, public relations and communication ability, and a development-oriented outlook.
