Nagaon: A newly constructed state-of-the-art laboratory at Barbheti Higher Secondary School in Kachamari, one of the prominent educational institutions in Nagaon district, was formally inaugurated today by District Commissioner Devashish Sharma (Devashish Sharma) through a special programme aimed at promoting practical education in Science and Mathematics among students.
After cutting the ribbon and officially opening the laboratory, the District Commissioner inspected the newly built rooms and reviewed the quality of the construction work. He expressed hope that the laboratory would play a significant role in fostering a scientific temperament among students from rural areas.
District Commissioner Devashish Sharma stated that such laboratories would help students acquire practical knowledge rather than remaining confined solely to textbook learning. In connection with the inauguration, a dignified public meeting was held on the school premises, where Sharma attended as the chief guest and delivered an inspiring address to the students. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of science and technology in today’s highly competitive world.
He advised students to remain dedicated to their studies while also striving to become responsible citizens of society. He further offered several important and motivational suggestions, encouraging them to set clear goals and work steadily towards achieving them.
The programme was attended by the school’s Headmistress Rini Khatiyan, members of the School Management Committee, teachers, students, and several distinguished local residents. Their enthusiastic participation added a festive atmosphere to the inauguration ceremony.
