Nagaon: The sudden demise of Paragdhar Saikia, a noted social worker and educationist from the Raidongia area of Nagaon district, has cast a deep pall of grief across the entire region. Saikia, who was serving as the Principal of Raidongia Sankardev Shishu Niketan, passed away on Tuesday night at the age of 57 (Paragdhar Saikia Death).
Details of the unfortunate incident
According to reports, Saikia suddenly fell ill and collapsed while performing his duties at the school on Tuesday. He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Nagaon by colleagues and local residents. As his condition became critical, doctors referred him to Guwahati for advanced treatment, but he breathed his last on the way.

A resident of Raidongia Karchung Satra, Paragdhar Saikia was not only a teacher but was also closely associated with various social and cultural activities in the region. His notable responsibilities included:

Saikia, known for his simple and gentle nature, was widely respected in the community. MLA Rupak Sharma, Secretary of Batadrava Than Management Committee Lachit Bordoloi, Secretary of voluntary organisation “Bikash” Shankar Jyoti Sharma, along with the teachers and management committee of the Shishu Niketan, expressed deep condolences over his demise.
At the time of his death, he is survived by his wife, two sons, and many relatives.
